Midtown is a church plant in the historic downtown area of Kansas City, MO. With a deep desire to create community in KC, the Midtown leadership team reached out to us to craft an identity system that felt at-home in midtown KC.
The logo mark represents the historic, architecturally-rich midtown area of of KC. Another point of emphasis was to create a logo mark that felt structural and dimensional. We created an M letterform with repeated elements and contained it within a circle for usability.
It was important to show elements of the city and community. This was the primary focus of the brand art direction. The use of bright colors and bold typography speak to outreach, celebration, and community-building.
